For adding keyless remote entry and panic functions to an existing access control system or as part of a new radio-based system, Linear offers the ACT series - miniature keychain transmitters that are compatible with all Linear access receivers and controllers. They are a safe, convenient form of door, gate, or gate and door control and are ideal for handicapped access. At sites where extra security is needed, like campuses and parking garages, the two-channel model can be used as a panic button to summon help.
The ACT-21 and ACT-21B are single-channel devices, the ACT-22 and ACT-22B are three-channel devices. Each is supplied with a quick-disconnect key ring with two rings - one for the transmitter and a car key and the other for home or office keys. Also included are lithium batteries with a five-year service life. A unique 10-second time-out feature prevents the system from being shut down by a single transmitter transmitting continuously. Pressing both buttons on the ACT-22/ACT-22B provides a third channel.
