Linear's AccessBase software is an easy-to-use
Windows-based package for networking multiple controllers, remote
devices, and portals within an access control system. It can be
used for PC-based control of multiple AM / II or Telephone Entry
controllers (Models AE-1 and AE-2), as well as the portals and remote
devices that they control. Up to eight controllers can be networked
through AccessBase and each controller can be used to control up
to six devices (48 in all) and up to four portals (32 in all).

AccessBase Software At A Glance
Network Set-Up
- Configures the way you communicate with the network - modem or direct connect.
- Configures passwords for network.
- Used to configure the individual nodes of the network - system
names, remote devices, relays, and RS232 ports.
Global Settings
- Configures the validation groups. For assigning access to individual users by time and by portal.
- Configures Telephone Entry settings (Models AE-1 and AE-2).
- Configures time zones for both validation groups and relay auto-unlock schedules.
- Configures facility codes for Wiegand devices.
- Configures holiday schedules.
Media
- For addition or removal of block-coded transmitters.
- For addition or removal of Wiegand cards or tags.
- Maintains entry codes and directory listings.

Cardholder Settings
- For addition or removal of individual cardholders (system users).
Includes fields for name, address, home, and work numbers.
- For assigning media (transmitters, cards, tags, entry codes
and directory listings) to system users, as well as for recording
when a system user surrenders his or her media.
- Features four user-definable fields that can be modified in
each database (for example - vehicle make, vehicle color, health
insurance provider, assigned parking space, etc.).
- For assigning expiration dates for cardholders.
Monitoring and Control
- Shows events as they occur. Filters available to prevent unwanted events from appearing in report.
- Allows user to control (lock open, lock closed, trigger) any door in the network.
Event Log Report
- Shows events as they are stored in memory.
- Filters in place to sort by date, type, door, cardholder, and operator.
